About Me
Jean-Philippe (JP) Naiken
Senior Solutions Engineer – Splunk
Security · Observability · AI curiosity
Senior Solutions Engineer at Splunk partnering with cyber and platform leaders to deliver secure, outcome-driven architectures.
Translator between delivery, leadership, and operations, turning messy requirements into plans that teams can execute with confidence.
Exploring AI security patterns and RAG workflows so organisations can experiment safely while keeping trust intact.
Blends RMIT undergraduate studies with a Deakin University Master of IT (Security) High Distinction so every recommendation lifts straight from lived delivery + formal research.
I'm driven by customer success: shaping solution strategy, proving value with targeted POCs, and documenting the patterns that help teams adopt securely at scale. Whether it's hardening Splunk Enterprise Security, tuning observability pipelines, or leading architecture reviews for Zero Trust rollouts, I bring a builder's mindset with the accountability of a trusted advisor.
Right now I'm doubling down on AI systems, learning Langfuse, LiteLLM, custom MCP servers, and production-grade RAG pipelines by building them in my own lab. It's an interest I'm pursuing so I can guide organisations through the same journey with real hands-on experience, not just slideware.
Organisations need to adopt AI, but they also have to defend against new attack surfaces. I'm obsessed with showing how we can prototype safely: secure service tokens, observability traces for accountability, and Zero Trust guardrails in front of every endpoint. If you're curious about how this all comes together, let's chat and whiteboard the next experiment.
Education
RMIT University — Undergraduate Information Technology studies (foundation for the homelab + Splunk obsession).
Deakin University — Master of Information Technology (Leadership), High Distinction (June 2025). The thesis was a hands-on AI + security + observability build, not a lab simulation, and the same blueprint now anchors Ozteklab.
